NDS Surgical Imaging (NDSsi) is a leading designer and manufacturer of medical imaging and informatics systems. Since participating in the original Virtex development program more than 12 years ago, the NDSsi research and development team has relied on Xilinx FPGAs to design high-resolution medical displays for diagnostic radiology.
The latest NDSsi Dome S10 displays deliver advanced optical performance for mammography screening. The 30-inch widescreen provides state-of-the-art 4096 x 2560 resolution, and supports 10-bit and 8-bit grayscale image data using industry-standard interfaces in lieu of proprietary libraries. The efficient design includes reduced overall power consumption and the elimination of mechanical fans (high-failure-rate components).
