Xilinx Automotive (XA) Platforms provide the low-cost digital signal processing, higher bandwidth and lower power required in high-volume driver assistance (DA) systems. Industry-leading devices deliver more raw DSP throughput than any other low-cost FPGA, outperforming other low-cost DSP families with parallel processing for image processing and recognition applications such as parking assistance, back-up monitoring, and lane departure warning.


Based on leading commercial SpartanĀ® FPGAs, the XA product line sets new standards in DA systems with:

  • High bandwidth to support camera systems requiring a minimum 30 frames/second throughput
  • High I/O to logic ratio for superior pixel level image processing
  • Scalability for multiple feature bundling and customization on a single platform
  • Flexibility to upgrade and modify features in the field as standards evolve
Four-camera System for Surround View Targeted Design Platform

The Xilinx Automotive Targeted Design Platform for four-camera surround view provides the multi-camera support and image processing needed to stitch four images into a seamless single image. Extensive image processing IP, image compensation for fish eye lens and camera offsets are used to provide a single matched image for parking assistance.
