The Xilinx EdgeQAM Targeted Design Platform puts design teams on an accelerated path for bringing to market high-density edge QAM solutions on a single chip. Developed to facilitate compliance with the evolving CCAP specification, the platforms can be configured with either a Xilinx Virtex®-7 or Xilinx Kintex™-7 FPGA and a choice of high-speed DAC FPGA mezzanine cards (FMCs) from two of the industry's leading high-speed DAC vendors. The highly flexible platforms, complete with IP and reference design, enable the agility that cable companies need to cost-effectively evolve higher-density head-end equipment as well as associated test and measurement equipment for the network edge.

The Xilinx EdgeQAM Demonstration Platform puts design teams on an accelerated path for bringing to market high-density edge QAM solutions. Developed to facilitate compliance with the evolving CCAP specification, the first demonstration platforms are comprised of an evaluation board based on a Xilinx Kintex™-7 or Virtex®-7 FPGA, a high-speed DAC FPGA mezzanine card (FMC), and integrated evaluation IP including J.83, frequency-agile digital un-converter (DUC), and digital pre-distortion algorithms for two of the industry’s leading high-speed DAC vendors. The highly flexible platform enables the agility that cable companies need to cost-effectively evolve higher-density head-end equipment for varied markets.
