Super Hi-Vision Camera

Super high vision camera systems have 7680x4320 pixel resolution (4x 4K2K) and 120Hz video frame rate, requiring 51.2Gbps in sensor interface bandwidth in a small footprint. In addition, signal processing is required to provide immediate image correction, noise reduction, and allows for proprietary image manipulation algorithms. Kintex® UltraScale™ devices offer industry-leading DSP capability in a single device and high-speed interface capability, reducing number of devices and board area.

Solution Summary and Benefits

  • Massive DSP bandwidth and increased DSP block efficiency doubles signal processing power per space available, delivering massive parallel processing within a restricted power budget
  • 51.2Gb/s sensor interface in a single device over extended operating temperature range
  • DDR4 external memory support provides low power, high bandwidth external frame buffering as required
  • Power reduction techniques such as BRAM power gating and fine-grained ASIC-like UltraScale clocking reduces power supply size and required cooling
  • Vivado® High Level Synthesis reduces design cycle by months
