Xilinx Benefits 2008

401K

Employee contributes up to 25% of earnings on a pre-tax basis, up to IRS prevailing maximum. Company contributes to each employee’s 401K account every quarter if Xilinx achieves its financial goals for that quarter. Contribution is made to 401 (k) accounts regardless of whether the employee contributes to the account. Vesting is immediate. Diversified investment options and loans of up to 50% of account balance available.

Medical, Dental and Vision

Xilinx has 4 medical plan options (Aetna PPO, Aetna EPO, Kaiser, Lovelace-Depending on your location). Xilinx offers an "Opt-out" option which provides cash back to employees who waive medical coverage. Xilinx has 2 dental plans (Aetna PPO and Aetna DMO) with orthodontia benefits. Opt out option available. Vision Service Plan (VSP), which provides annual eye examination. Discounts on Lasik and PRK eye surgery. Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to put pre tax dollars into two different accounts. The Health Care account pays for medical, dental and vision expenses not covered. The Dependent Care account pays for day care for your children or elderly dependents.

Vacation, ETO, & Holiday:

  • A generous schedule of vacation accrual that begins at 15 days annually and grows to 17 days annually at 2 years, 19 days annually after 5 years, and so on.
  • Excused Time Off (ETO) is earned at the rate of 6.7 hours per month (10 days per year) for regular, non-exempt employees (prorated for part-time employees). Unused hours will be rolled over into the next calendar year. The maximum amount of ETO you may earn is 120 hours (15 days). Until your ETO hours are brought below this amount, no further ETO hours will be granted. Exempt employees do not earn ETO.
  • 10 paid holidays per year

Short Term Disability:

In California, the disability benefits are non-taxable. The benefit is 100% salary continuation of net pay beginning on the eighth consecutive day through the 180th day of disability.
Outside California, disability earnings are taxable because the plan is funded by Xilinx. The benefit is 100% of gross pay beginning on the eighth consecutive day through the 180th day of disability.

Long Term Disability:

  • Pays 66 2/3% of salary to a maximum of $15,000 per month up to age 65

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment:

  • 100% company paid
  • Basic life and AD&D are each 2 times your annual base to a maximum of $750,000
  • Business travel accident is 3 times your annual base salary to a maximum of $500,000
  • Supplemental life insurance available to employee and eligible dependents

Other Programs:

Stock Awards:

Xilinx has 2 Stock Awards Programs which allows full-time regular employees to build equity in the company.

  • Stock Options are 100% vested after 4 years of employment, and vest monthly after the 1st year of employment.
  • Restricted Stock Units (RSU) vest in equal installments of 25 percent per year over a 4 years of employment

ESPP:

The Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) allows employees to purchase shares at a 15% discount on stock price through payroll deductions. Stock purchase price locked in for full two years. Two enrollments per year.

Educational Reimbursement:

Xilinx values continuous learning and will pay for a portion of the cost, up to a yearly program maximum, for those employees who pursue an approved degree or certification at an accredited school or college.
