JOB DESCRIPTION:

Xilinx has locations in nine countries throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). We require an experienced HR Generalist to join the Human Resource team supporting EMEA. The successful individual will be responsible for providing a broad range of HR support services to the EMEA organisation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage recruitment process for the region
  • Co-ordination & presentation of Day One Induction
  • Management of employee file system
  • Manage content of HR web pages- recruitment/benefits/policies etc
  • L&D Programme co-ordination
  • Maintenance of HR Systems- Oracle (Employee Records, Recruitment, L&D records)
  • Benefits administration (New hire enrolment, annual employee enrolment, process leavers, manage relationships with external vendors)
  • Payroll- communication of information to payroll (New hire benefits, benefit changes, LOA notifications, confirmation of leave dates)
  • Maintenance of HR metrics
  • HR SOX rep- participate in annual SOX testing, gate keeper of all processes documented in internal SOX documentation
  • Provide support to HR business partners when necessary

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Clear understanding of professional Human Resource practices, ideally with some supporting HR Generalist experience
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation
  • The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in Business Studies/HRM or equivalent
  • CIPD qualified/part-qualified
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills required
  • Results oriented and attention to detail
  • Needs to be organized, self-motivated, creative and able to work under pressure
  • Numerate and computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of computerised information systems)
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative

Business Operations is responsible for ensuring that Corporate ASP and Gross Margin targets are met by managing pricing on major new deals, customer purchase agreements, and existing business. Three Regional Business Management teams, located in San Jose, Singapore and Dublin, provide support for new business opportunities and customer contract negotiations for customers headquartered in their regions. The Global Pricing Services team in Singapore provides real-time pricing management services for Contract Manufacturing and existing business world-wide.

Working in the Business Operations team based in Dublin, this job will involve:

  • Managing the gross margin for a group of key accounts / region within EMEA
  • Working with the Sales team to develop pricing strategies which meet revenue, product penetration and gross margin targets
  • Develop and maintain customer or segment specific pricing
  • Supporting the Sales team in tactical pricing engagements and onsite annual contract negotiation, in key accounts

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Extensive experience in the Semiconductor industry, with a relevant technical qualification (primary degree)
  • Must have Technical Sales or other customer facing experience in a senior role
  • Additional business or marketing qualifications, such as a MBA, would be a distinct advantage
  • Must have strong analytical and numeric skills
  • Must be a team player, capable of integrating and working well in a distributed team

Senior Staff Design Engineer Edinburgh »

You will have a leading role in the specification and implementation of wireless and signal processing FPGA-based IP cores, systems, application notes and reference designs. You will be involved in all aspects of development, from concept to customer release and beyond. All developments are highly optimized for Xilinx FPGAs and you will be working with the latest FPGA technology, often before it is publicly announced.

You will have a high level of experience in the digital communications application space, both at the systems and detailed design implementation levels. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering state-of-the-art ASIC and/or FPGA solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant digital design experience, targeting FPGAs or ASICs.
  • Established experience in designing for digital communication systems.
  • Expert in VHDL or Verilog.
  • Expert in FPGA implementation techniques.
  • Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of designing wireless communications systems, especially LTE.

The main focus will be the efficient implementation of DSP algorithms in Xilinx FPGAs and the development and automation of robust, efficient development processes.

This position requires strengths in FPGA VHDL-based design, robust design processes, scripting languages and a good knowledge of common DSP algorithms. It is expected that the individual will have a passion for continuously seeking methods to improve team productivity.

Job Requirements:

  • Expertise in VHDL or Verilog.
  • Expertise in PERL, TCL, XML and Version Control tools.
  • Expertise in FPGA implementation techniques.
  • Design experience with synthesis tools, HDL simulation tools and Xilinx EDA tools.
  • Knowledge of DSP algorithms, including digital filters, FFTs, FEC, fixed-point implementation of DSP data paths and digital communications is beneficial.
  • Experience with C/C++, Matlab and Simulink is also beneficial.
  • You should have a track record of high academic achievement.
  • Expected 1st Class honours Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Digital design experience, targeting FPGAs or ASICs.
