License Keys for Xilinx LogiCORE IP Cores

Key Documentation

Selected Xilinx® software and most fee-based LogiCORE™ IP cores require a FLEXNet license key to enable use by customers.

FLEXNet license keys are required by certain Xilinx software tools. See the Licensing FAQ for more information.
Xilinx LogiCORE IP cores licensed with ISE® Design Suite Software at no additional charge do not require afn additional key.

Simulation Only Keys
- Simulation Only keys allow you to perform functional simulation only. They are shipped with the ISE® software for most fee-based LogiCORE IP cores.
Hardware Evaluation Keys
- Hardware Evaluation keys allow you to simulate and implement your design, run timing analysis and generate a time-limited bitstream to program a Xilinx FPGA. The core in the programmed device will function in hardware for anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the core.
- Hardware Evaluation keys for Processor IP cores are shipped with the ISE Design Suite Embedded Edition software.
- You can generate a Hardware Evaluation key for most fee-based LogiCORE IP at the Xilinx Software and IP Licensing Center
Keys for Production Use
- Full License keys enable production use of the IP core, including simulation, implementation, timing analysis, and programming a Xilinx FPGA to perform hardware validation with no timeout period.
- After purchasing a license for a fee-based core, you can generate a Full key for it on the Xilinx Software and IP Licensing Center.
