In the Tcl Shell tab, you can enter standard
and Xilinx provided Tcl commands. The Tcl commands provided by Xilinx include
the following:
- Project operations
- Process manipulation
- Partition handling
- Search operations
- Timing analysis tasks
Caution Starting some processes which run serially
make Project Navigator seem to hang. Please wait for one process to
complete before attempting to run another process.
Console Tab
Output, warning and error messages
associated with the commands and processes that the commands invoke
are displayed in the console window as well.
- Commands are entered in the prompt and executed after clicking
return.
- Previously entered commands can be recalled using the up and
down arrow keys.
- The Console has a context menu that allows selecting, copying,
pasting, saving and other actions on commands entered in the Tcl Shell.
