Assigning Drivers, Libraries, and Operating Systems

To Open the Software Platform Settings Dialog Box

Right-click the processor name in the tree view and select Software Platform Settings.

What to Expect

This opens the Software Platform Settings dialog box. For more information, refer to Software Platform Settings Dialog Box.

Note The default operating system is Standalone, which provides the board support package. This means there is no real operating system between the application software and the hardware platform. Application software operates on the hardware platform through direct driver calls.

The application software can still use the device drivers and some basic libraries. Default drivers are assigned to the processor and each of the peripherals present in the hardware platform. The drop-down menus in the Driver and Version columns enable you to choose other applicable drivers and/or driver versions.
