Executing XSVF/SVF Files

To Execute XSVF/SVF Files

Initiate Boundary-Scan mode.
Right-click in the Workspace and select Add Xilinx Device.

Note The iMPACT workspace must be blank. The Boundary-Scan file cannot be added to a chain which already has devices. You can also only add one Boundary-Scan file to the device.

Browse to the XSVF or SVF file you created and add it to the screen (device icon appears with file name under it).
Right-click on the device and select Execute XSVF/SVF.

Note Once the file has been added to the screen, you can also select Operations > Execute XSVF/SVF.

What to Expect

This operation enables you to execute the XSVF or SVF file through the XSVF/SVF player in iMPACT.

Note SVF files describing erasure or programming cannot be executed on XC9500
