EDK 6.3i Update --------------- The zip files, ml310_base_design_edk63_update.zip and ml310_base_ucf_edk63_update.zip, contain updated files for use with the ML310 Base Design and EDK 6.3i. The following information should be reviewed when migrating to EDK6.3i: 1. As per the Base Design instructions, extract the ml310_base_design.zip file. 2. Extract the ml310_base_design_edk63_update.zip and overwrite the contents of the "ml310_base_design" directory. The EDK6.3 update files supersede the original ml310_base_design.zip file. Once the ml310_base_design directory is updated with EDK6.3 content, you may proceed with copying files from the ml310_base_design directory to your directory. 3. Note that the following Solution Records no longer apply and the steps of applying these to the EDK6.3 BSB design should be bypassed: * SR#19772 * SR#19773 * SR#19774 4. Solution Record, SR#19385, UCF constraints for EDK6.3 BSB are located in the file, ml310_base_ucf_edk63_update.zip. The constraints are applied in the same way as would be done for the would EDK6.2i.2 ml310_base_ucf_update.zip file. 5. Rebuild the design and bitstream instead of saving time by using iMPACT to download the pre-canned ml310_base_bootloop.bit. The ml310_base_bootloop.bit was build with EDK6.2i and should not be used with EDK6.3 BSB design as the address map of the peripherals is very different from that of EDK6.2i.2 BSB design. 6. When launching XMD for the first time an XMD dialog box will pop up: "Please set the XMD Debug Options..." Click 'OK' Then click 'Save' when prompted with the "XMD Debug Options" dialog. Now re-launch XMD. 7. A pre-built EKD6.2i.2 BSB project is provided in the file, ml310_base_design_example.zip. The example was built with EDK6.2i.2 and BSB. It should be used as example of how multiple SW Applications are incorporated into a single XPS project. It is up to the user to build an EDK6.3i BSB design that incorporates multiple SW Applications into a single XPS Project. The original BSB design provided in the lab was built with EDK6.2.2. If for any reason you need to revert back to EDK6.2.2, simply re-extract the original files from the ml310_base_design.zip file and follow the steps in the lab to build the design.
