Initial Design for the Spartan3E MicroBlaze Development Kit
This is the design shipped with the board. The embedded MicroBlaze Processor prints messages on the character LCD screen. Flashes the LEDs, reads the Switches and Buttons and sends text data as standard out over a DTE UART at 115200, 1 Stp bit, No Parity, Flow Control =None MicroBlaze, LCD, Switches, Buttons, LEDs & UART EDK 9.2 SP1   278 kb

MicroBlaze uCLinux Reference System
This reference system demonstrates uCLinux running on the MicroBlaze soft processor and was designed using the Embedded Development Kit (EDK). An example basic uCLinux kernel is provided that is tailored to the Spartan-3E 1600E Edition Development Kit board and this reference design. The kernel and ROM file system are downloaded into the DDR memory and run completely out of the external memory.

The uCLinux kernel image is pre-loaded into the Intel StrataFlash on the board from the factory.

You can download the Reference design files, the Bootloder software files or the FLASH files

MicroBlaze Web Server Reference System
This reference system demonstrates a Web server running on the MicroBlaze soft processor, designed using the Embedded Development Kit (EDK). This system is designed for the Spartan-3E 1600E development board. To run the Web server demonstration, the Web server software application executable and memory file system (MFS) image must be downloaded into the DDR memory. The Web server application and the MFS image are pre-loaded into the parallel NOR StrataFlash on the board. The SPI serial flash is pre-loaded with a bootloader application that loads the application and MFS image into the DDR memory and executes the Web server software application.

PicoBlaze RS-232 StrataFlash Programmer
Turns the Spartan-3E FPGA into an Intel StrataFlash programmer. The FPGA connects to a PC via an RS-232 UART. Via HyperTerminal (not included), download an MCS file to the Intel StrataFlash parallel NOR Flash memory, check the memory ID, bulk erase the entire 128-Mbit Flash, and read and write Flash data.

Details for obtaining the PicoBlaze™ files can be found on the following Spartan-3E web page link: www.xilinx.com/picoblaze
