Project Navigator
The Project Navigator integrates the tools you need and gets your design process started quicker in an easy-to-use graphical interface.
ISE™ software includes Project Navigator which provides user windows displaying project hierarchy and the design process, as well as a context-sensitive HDL Editor. In addition, designers have access to intuitive Architecture Wizards, a schematic editor, language templates, expandable design processes, an integrated Web browser, error navigation to the Web, Web solutions, and much more.
No other development environment offers a more complete set of integrated design tools for programmable logic. When targeting Xilinx devices, Project Navigator delivers a complete environment for optimal design development.
Key Features
- Web Automatic Update – ISE software will watch for service pack updates and then download those when available, saving valuable search time and also minimizing disk space by only downloading updates that apply to that particular ISE software installation
- Easy to follow Architecture Wizards help the designer quickly and easily configure the most advanced FPGA silicon features
- Design Summary – the most useful design flow information is shown in a single view and updated immediately as new information becomes available
- Message Filtering capability streamlines output reports by allowing users to hide warnings or messages not applicable to their design
- Improved integration of ECS, RTL and Technology Viewers, and ISE Simulator within Project Navigator
- Synplicity and XST synthesis users can mix VHDL and Verilog in the same project, maximizing IP and HDL resources
- Tighter integration and launch capabilities for 3rd party tools – including the Mentor Graphics® Precision® RTL Synthesis flow now integrated directly into Project Navigator and support for third party HDL text editors such as UltraEdit and CodeWrite
- Embedded design object can open the EDK XPS project manager with improved integration, offering tighter system design capabilities
