Developed specifically to address the rapidly evolving requirements in the broadcast market for greater bandwidth, improved jitter performance and lower power consumption, the Virtex®-6 FPGA Broadcast Connectivity Kit integrates high performance Virtex-6 FPGAs, intellectual property (IP) building blocks, design tools, reference designs, and a serial digital/audio development board. Based on the standard ML605 Evaluation Kit, the Virtex-6 FPGA Broadcast Connectivity Kit adds a serial digital audio and video connectivity FPGA mezzanine card (FMC) from Cook Technologies, as well as a full-seat* of Xilinx ISE® Design Suite: Logic Edition – allowing designers to:

  • Introduce differentiated broadcast systems to the market
  • Increase productivity and accelerate production cycles
  • Rapidly adopt emerging standards and features such as DisplayPort and EthernetAVB from beginning to even mid-development
  • Kick start development and system-level IP integration with expert design examples
