The Xilinx LogiCORE™ DisplayPort® interconnect protocol is for transmission of serial-digital video up to 5.4Gbps for Consumer and Professional Displays. DisplayPort is a high-speed serial interface standard supported by industry leaders in consumer electronics HDTV, PC laptop and PC monitors. This protocol replace DVI and HDMI outside and LVDS inside the box for higher resolution (>4Kx2K), higher frame rate and color bit depth display.

DisplayPort offers a smaller design, two-way interaction, improved signal integrity, reduced EMI with a high bandwidth interconnect. The DisplayPort LogiCORE IP is designed to the VESA DisplayPort  v1.2 specification 7-Series (-2 and -3 speed grades).

DisplayPort LogiCORE IP supports 7-Series, Virtex®-6, and Spartan®-6 FPGA families.
