Iridix performs adaptive, space-varying dynamic range correction to still images and real-time video, using proprietary algorithms based on the human visual system. It overcomes the limitations of gamma correction and other conventional processing and can dramatically improve image quality in camera and display applications, especially where the source has high dynamic range, or the display has lower dynamic range. This is achieved by applying a different tone curve to each pixel of each frame of the video sequence. High-quality results are achieved, suitable for consumer, professional and industrial/medical applications.
