Reliability is defined as product performance to specification over time. The ultimate goal of the Reliability Program at Xilinx is to achieve continuous improvement in the robustness of the product being evaluated. Xilinx leverages industry standards whenever possible to minimize unique requirements and strives to manufacture-in quality and reliability

Reliability Monitor Program

An ongoing Reliability Monitor is in place to ensure that products manufactured to qualified processes and reliability standards have not drifted. Monitor samples are taken from finished goods. Reliability results of the program are published in the Device Reliability Report on a quarterly basis.

The Xilinx Reliability Report is published quarterly to provide customers with current information regarding the reliability of Xilinx products. All tests are performed or supervised by experienced Xilinx employees using facilities that are approved and audited by Xilinx for compliance to the requirements of MIL-PRF-38535 and MIL-STD-883.

Note: Product related data in the reliability report is based on a sampling of device/package combinations from each given family of devices and packaging options. Data for a specific device/package combination may not exist, but enough information should be available in order to glean the information required for qualification purposes.
