Quality Manual (Link to Manual)
The Xilinx Quality Manual describes the Quality System for the Corporation. The Xilinx quality system is structured around ISO 9001:2000, TL 9000, Military (QML), and other industry standards to plan, produce, and review all activities and processes related to Xilinx' integrated circuit products. The document applies to the design, manufacture, and testing of programmable logic devices, CPLDs, and configuration devices.
Customer Returns and Return Material Authorization (More Information)
In order to assure highest level of satisfaction with our products, Xilinx has developed formal return procedures for components, software, boards and cables.
Process Control Quality System: Maverick Lot
As part of Xilinx' continuous improvement activities, a process has been established and implemented at all manufacturing facilities which focuses on prevention of quality issues. The goal of this "Maverick Lot" program is to obtain the highest yields, quality, and reliability of the products through minimizing significant sources of variability by cause and effect analysis.
AEC-Q100 Component and Device Qualification
Xilinx offers a line of products, denoted as the Xilinx Automotive (XA) Family, which are AEC-Q100 qualified. These select devices offer Stress Qualification For Integrated Circuits as specified in the AEC-Q100 Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) document. This specification establishes a standard that defines operating temperature grades for integrated circuits based on a minimum set of qualification requirements. Products in the XA family deliver extended temperature ranges (both Industrial and Automotive Q-grade), full PPAP support, and the industry-recognized AEC-Q100 device qualification flow. Corrective and Preventitive Action (Link to 8D)
Xilinx is committed to true root cause analysis when it comes to resolving problems. Every problem is viewed as an opportunity to improve and do things better. Xilinx, together with subcontractors and suppliers, employs the team-based Eight Discipline (8D) approach to carry out thorough investigations and then follow through using a data driven approach to developing permanent and effective solutions.
Internal Audit Program
Xilinx has an established procedure for planning and implementing internal quality audits to verify that quality activities and their related results comply with planned arrangements. These audits are also used to determine the effectiveness of the quality system. Management personnel for the respective areas are responsible for ensuring that any deficiencies found during the audit are corrected in a timely manner.
