XILINX EXTENDS QUALITY LEADERSHIP WITH REGISTRATION TO AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY QUALITY STANDARD ISO/TS 16949

Xilinx conforms to this automotive industry standard to reduce stakeholder costs, reinforce it’s commitment to customer satisfaction, and leverage its continuous quality improvement efforts

Xilinx has demonstrated its quality leadership and is reinforcing its commitment to customer's quality needs through its efforts to formally register to ISO/TS 16949. Xilinx employed a third-party registrar to certify the implementation to ISO/TS 16949. Xilinx already meets the requirements of other world-class quality standards including ISO 9001, ISO/TL 9000, QML, and ISO 14001.

Members of the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), which includes leading automotive manufacturers and their trade associations, developed ISO/TS 16949. This standard defines the quality system elements required for the automotive market based on ISO 9001:2000, AVSQ (Italian), EAQF (French), QS-9000 (US) and VDA6.1 (German) automotive standards. This document together with any customer-specific requirements defines quality system requirements for use in the automotive supply chain.
