XILINX CTO APPEARS IN GENESEO INDUSTRY PANEL AT INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM

INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 27, 2006 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced that it will join IBM, Intel and other key industry executives to discuss extensions to the popular PCI Express® computing standard codenamed “Geneseo” for high-performance connectivity.

Xilinx chief technology officer Ivo Bolsens commented: “Xilinx endorses the evolution of the Geneseo architecture to extend the PCI Express protocol in applications requiring advanced co-processor acceleration.
