Xilinx Press Release #0741

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

XILINX RANKS ON "100 BEST CORPORATE CITIZENS FOR 2007" LIST

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 28, 2007 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), the world's leading provider of programmable logic, today announced that it has been named one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2007 by CRO/Business Ethics magazine.  Of 1,100 U.S. publicly traded companies, the top 100 are ranked on service in eight stakeholder categories: shareholders, community, governance, diversity, employees, environment, human rights, and product. Social scores use KLD’s assessment of “strengths” and “concerns” demonstrated in each category. The shareholder score is based on three-year average total return (stock appreciation plus dividends) through year-end 2006.

Xilinx commands more than 50 percent market share in the programmable logic segment of the semiconductor industry and ranks No. 48 on the 100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2007 list.  Notably, the company’s corporate governance quotient (CGQ) is better than 78.2 percent of S&P 500 companies and 97 percent of semiconductor and semiconductor equipment companies.  Xilinx also distinguished itself in May 2006 when it updated its corporate governance principles (see http://www.xilinx.com/prs_rls/2006/xil_corp/0662xlnx_corpgov.htm).

“The 100 Best distinguish themselves from their peers at other large public companies by embracing higher standards—combining strong financial performance with responsible practices on environmental and social issues,” said Michael Connor, Publisher and Editor of CRO magazine.  “We salute the 100 Best for their leadership roles in the field of corporate responsibility.”

“We’re honored to be included among the best corporate citizens in America in recognition of the solid, lasting values upon which Xilinx has been built over the past 20 years,” said Wim Roelandts, chairman, president and CEO of Xilinx. “We’ve long held that making decisions based upon our values directly translates to the bottom line. Balancing the needs of customers, employees and shareholders in the running of our day-to-day business has proven successful in good times and bad.”

The top ten companies listed in the 100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2007 include: Advanced Micro Devices, Nike, Motorola, Intel, IBM, Agilent Technologies, The Timberland Company, Starbucks Corp. and General Mills.
