XILINX AWARDED
LEED GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATION

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 17, 2007 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), the world's leading provider of programmable logic, today announced that its latest building renovation at its San Jose Headquarters has achieved the LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.

“Xilinx continues to look for new and innovative techniques to preserve the environment.  Ultimately a LEED-certified building costs less to operate and maintain, is energy- and water-efficient, creates a healthier environment for our employees, and is a physical demonstration of our core values,” said Forrest James, senior director of Corporate Real Estate, Facilities and Workplace Services at Xilinx.

"Xilinx is to be commended for achieving LEED certification. This facility is one that both the community and its customers can be proud of,” said Rick Fedrizzi, president, chief executive officer, and founding chair, U.S. Green Building Council. “Xilinx will be a showcase for energy efficient and resource friendly buildings that are healthier for the environment and an inspiration to others.”

About LEED
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is a voluntary third party rating system where credits are earned for satisfying specified criteria.  Projects are evaluated within six environmental categories:  Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, and Indoor Environmental Quality.  Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels of certification are awarded based on the total credits earned.   The LEED standard has been adopted nationwide by federal agencies, state and local governments, and interested private companies as the industry standard of measurement for green building.
