XILINX ANNOUNCES METRO-OPTICAL NETWORKING FORUM
Premier event addresses the challenges and solutions
for metro area and edge access networks
SAN JOSE, Calif, May 20, 2002 - Xilinx Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) in collaboration
with Reed Electronics Group, Avnet Design Services, and Cilicon,
an Avnet company, today announced the Metro-Optical Networking
Forum. The all-day no charge event will take place on July 25,
2002 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, and will include presentations
from leaders and visionaries from throughout the Metro-Optical
Networking community focusing on the technologies and challenges
of developing and deploying successful products for the Metro Area
Network market. Additional venues include Baltimore, Boston, Dallas,
Ottawa and San Diego. Open to over 1,000 system architects, design
engineers, executives, product development managers, and industry
press, the event will also be broadcast via live satellite to an
additional 41 Avnet locations throughout the United States and
