Join Chris Wire, Senior Director of Supply Chain Management at
Xilinx, and co-presenters Jonathan Colehower, Vice President
of Supply Chain Management at Oracle, and Paul Matthews, Vice President
for CAP Gemini Ernst & Young, for an in-depth look at how leading
companies are lowering costs and reducing risk through supply chain
postponement. This presentation will explore the future viability
of postponement and its role within the supply chain in addition
to implementation challenges.
Over the last decade, postponement has received extensive attention
as a strategy to reduce costs and lower risk. Recently, APICS, Oracle,
and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young teamed up to jointly launch a study
of leading companies implementing postponement to understand successes,
challenges, and critical success factors as well as discuss common
approaches and practices required to exploit the true potential
of postponement. This study also involved interviews of several
key thought leaders, executives, and subject matter experts to gain
significant insights and perspectives on the topic. This presentation
will reveal the key findings from this study and explore whether
or not postponement is right for your company.
