SAN JOSE, Calif., February 4, 2002—Xilinx, Inc., (NASDAQ: XLNX) and Model Technology, a Mentor Graphics company, today announced the extension of their OEM agreement for the Xilinx® specific version of the ModelSim® tools. This agreement gives Xilinx customers a more powerful version of the popular ModelSim Xilinx Edition (MXE). MXE II, based on ModelSim 5.5e, delivers five times the verification capacity, which is equivalent of simulation for up to one million system-gate designs. 

MXE II offers optimized libraries for post-route non-timing and timing simulation for all Xilinx devices, including the latest CoolRunner®-II RealDigital^TM CPLDs, a new class of CPLDs with an all-digital core. MXE II and the Xilinx Integrated Software Environment (ISE) provide designers with an integrated, high performance environment for the design, synthesis, verification and implementation of mid to high density Xilinx logic designs. 
Access to world class HDL Simulation
