SAN JOSE, Calif., November 29, 2004 - Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), the world's leading programmable logic provider, today announced an educational E-Learning module on "Achieving Breakthrough Performance in Virtex-4 FPGAs". The module, scheduled for release the week of December 6, 2004 on xilinx.com, is the first in a series of web-based educational modules offered on various topics of interest to the design community. This particular module will demonstrate how to optimize Virtex-4 FPGAs and the Xilinx ISE software design environment to take advantage of its industry-leading performance. Xilinx Virtex-4 FPGAs are the fastest FPGAs available with up to 43 percent higher performance than any competing FPGA family.

Virtex-4 domain-optimized FPGAs provide an ideal mix of features and the greatest choice of devices of any FPGA product line on the market today for applications including general logic design, signal processing, high-speed serial communications and embedded processing.
