XILINX APPOINTS btv AS THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER IN GERMANY

Munich, Germany, January 23, 2002 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) today announced the appointment of btv as a third party service provider. This follows the successful qualificationcarried out on their world class quality management system at their Dortmund headquarters in November 2001. btv has 9 years of experience in value adding services in particular to telecom and automotive sectors. They operate on a world-wide basis and focus mainly on customised third party logistic concepts and their implementation. Furthermore, their services include programming, tape and reel, assembly and warehousing. Xilinx will continue to provide its customers with third party providers whose core competencies are in these value adding areas.
