XILINX HOSTING 2004 WALK FOR AIDS SILICON VALLEY RECEPTION FEATURING
WORLD AIDS PROGRESS REPORT BY DR. MARK HOLODNIY, STANFORD UNIVERSITY

What: Xilinx, Inc. and the AIDS Coalition Silicon Valley
to host other valley corporations at the 2004 Walk for AIDS Corporate
Event
When: Thursday, July 22, 2004 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Where: Xilinx World Headquarters, 2050 Logic Drive, San Jose,
Calif.
- Guest speaker, Dr. Mark Holodniy, associate professor of Medicine
at Stanford University and director of the HIV Clinical Program
Research Center, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Palo Alto, Calif.,
to provide an update from the World AIDS Conference, Bangkok (currently
in progress).
- Pat Duffy, executive director, AIDS Coalition Silicon Valley,
to highlight the fight against AIDS in the Silicon Valley, which
is at a crisis point. Since 1993 the number of people in Santa
Clara County living with AIDS has increased by 88 percent.
- A representative from U.S. Rep. Mike Honda's (D-San Jose) staff
to present a congressional plaque of recognition to Xilinx; employees
and management have supported the Walk for AIDS for more than
a dozen years.
- Information will be available regarding the Walk for AIDS Silicon
Valley, a 10K walk to raise funds for local HIV/AIDS programs
