XILINX SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT WITH PALTEK TO ENTER
INTO DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT 

TOKYO, Japan, November 17 , 2005 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), the world’s leading supplier of programmable logic solutions, today announced that it has signed a letter of intent with Paltek Corp. (JASDAQ: 7587 ) to enter into a distributor relationship. The addition of Paltek to the Xilinx K.K. ( Tokyo, Japan) network of distribution partners would allow the company to meet increased demand for its flagship programmable logic and system-level solutions, and to further strengthen its service and support structure in Japan.

President Hitoshi Yoshizawa . “Paltek would be an ideal complement to our current network of distribution partners. With more than 20 years of experience in the PLD industry, Paltek has a keen understanding of customer requirements and the compelling value of programmable solutions for design engineers.”

Japan represents a growing proportion of Xilinx worldwide sales, with 16 percent of total sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2006 (July – September 2005) and a corporate objective to increase this to 20 percent. Xilinx K.K. has played an essential role in the diversification of Xilinx' business over the past several years, particularly in digital consumer, automotive and industrial applications.

Currently, the Xilinx network of distribution partners in Japan includes Tokyo Electron Device Limited, Avnet Japan K.K. (formerly Memec Japan K.K.), Ryoyo Electro Corporation and Shinko Shoji Corporation.
