XILINX SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH PALTEK

TOKYO, Japan, January 25, 2006 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), the global leader in programmable logic solutions, today announced that it has formally concluded a distribution agreement with Japan-based PALTEK Corporation (JASDAQ: 7587). Starting February 1, 2006, PALTEK will commence marketing Xilinx products, with shipments beginning April 1, 2006.

Current Xilinx K.K. partners also include Tokyo Electron Device Limited, Avnet Japan K.K. (formerly Memec Japan K.K.), Shinko Shoji Co., Ltd., and Ryoyo Electro Corporation. The addition of PALTEK to the Xilinx K.K. ( Tokyo, Japan) network of distribution partners will allow the company to meet increased demand for its flagship programmable logic and system-level solutions, and to further strengthen its service and support structure in Japan. PALTEK brings more than 20 years’ experience in the PLD industry to its new distribution partnership with Xilinx in Japan, enabling the company to immediately provide added value to Xilinx and its customers.

Japan represents a growing proportion of Xilinx worldwide sales, with 14 percent of total sales in the third quarter of fiscal 2006 ( October – Dec ember 2005) and a corporate objective to increase this to 20 percent. Xilinx K.K. has played an essential role in the diversification of Xilinx' business over the past several years, particularly in digital consumer, automotive, industrial and medical applications.
