*Obsolete* 3.1i XC18v00 JTAG Programmer - SVF for Get USERCODE fails with wrong value

Keywords: svf, jtag, usercode, 18v00

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When I use an SVF file generated by the JTAG Programmer software for an XC18v00 device, an incorrect value for the programmable USERCODE is produced.

For example:

Device = XC18v04

Program xc18v04 with USERCODE=12345678 through a cable.

Create an SVF file that contains commands for the following operation:
Operation->Get Device Signature/USERCODE

Execute SVF on the XC18v04.

The USERCODE check fails.

It appears that the USERCODE bits are reversed.

Either the GUI represents the bits in reverse order, or the SVF is wrong.

Also, the SVF for the Operation->Program with a USERCODE setting does not
match the operation results through the cable.

This problem is fixed in the latest 3.1i Service Pack available at:
The first service pack containing the fix is 3.1i Service Pack 4.
