If using a Windows 2000 machine in which the user is not an administrator,
Project Navigator takes a considerable amount of time to start. When logged
in as an administrator the software starts quickly.
The issue can be resolved by removing some registry keys.
To open the registry editor:
1- Login into the machine as the administrator.
2- Select Start -> Programs -> Run.
3- Enter 'regedit' and click OK.
Delete the following keys from the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT directory:
Then, close the registry editor, logout, and have the user log back in.
This issue has been fixed in the 4.1i release of the software.
