PAR reports the following parser error:
"ERROR:Parsers:3 - Unable to parse "+" in line 1267."
What does this error mean?
This error message refers to the PCF file. The problem is that the PCF parser cannot read the following line from the PCF file:
COMP "wrbfr/"+"-return353<0>" LOCATE = SITE "CLB_R7C30.*:CLB_R26C48.*" LEVEL 4;
The issue is the embedded quotation marks in the COMP name "wrbfr/"+"-return353<0>." The embedded quotation marks are legal in EDIF, NGD, and NCD files, but they are illegal in PCF files.
You can work around this problem by allowing escaped embedded quotation marks in the PCF file. To do this, make the following changes in the PCF file:
COMP "wrbfr/\"+\"-return353<0>" LOCATE = SITE "CLB_R7C30.*:CLB_R26C48.*" LEVEL 4;
Please remove the embedded quotations from the UCF and/or design files.
This will be fixed in the next major design tools release.
