4.2i Data2BRAM - An incomplete file_bd.bmm file is produced during BitGen

Keywords: Data2BRAM, file_bd.bmm, address_block, address range

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
When BitGen is run with the "-bd" switch, a <file>_bd.bmm file is written that represents the PLACED BRAM address space. When the address range is specified with the ADDRESS_BLOCK in the <file>.bmm, the resulting <file>_bd.bmm is incomplete.

When this file is used with Data2BRAM, syntax errors will result.

Here is an example of the ADDRESS_BLOCK line that leads to the error:

"ADDRESS_BLOCK LMB_MEM RAMB4 [0x00000000:0x00001FFF]"

This problem is fixed in the latest 4.2i Service Pack, available at:
The first service pack containing the fix is 4.2i Service Pack 1.
