General Description:
When I create XC18V01/512/256 SVF files with the Operation -> Program menu item and the "Erase before Programming" option, the XC18V01 fails to program. (The XC18V01/512/256 is still blank after I apply the SVF.)
Solution 1
This problem is fixed in the latest 5.1i Service Pack, available at:http://support.xilinx.com/support/techsup/sw_updates
The first service pack containing the fix is 5.1i Service Pack 3.
Solution 2
Alternately, there are two possible ways to work around this problem:Work-around 1 (preferred):
Generate an SVF file using the following sequence:
1. Operation -> Erase
2. Operation -> Program (Do not select "Erase before programming")
Work-around 2:
Add the following RESET instruction between the Erase CONLOAD and Program ISP-ENABLE instructions:
STATE RESET;
