When I attempt to add a new source in Project Navigator via "Add\New Source," the only available options are "User Document" "IP," "MEM-file," "Implementation Constraints File," "Embedded Processor," and "BMM-file."
Check the project options to see what the Top-Level Source Type is. User Documents and BMM files are the two file types that are allowed when EDIF or NGC is selected as the Top-Level Source Type.
To add VHDL, Verilog, you must switch to the VHDL, Verilog, or Schematic Top-Level Source Type.
- In the Sources window, right-click the line in which your targeted device is displayed, and choose "Properties."
- In the "Top-Level Source Type " line, select one of the VHDL, Verilog, or Schematic flows and press "OK."
You can now access all options for the new sources.
