Is clock correction an independent operation for each transceiver?
The port description of CHBONDO[3..0] states that the signal is used to pass clock correction control to other transceivers.
CHBONDO is used only for channel bonding, in which case clock correction is NOT performed independently for each transceiver. If it were, the channels would quickly become misaligned, defeating the purpose of channel bonding. The master transceiver controls alignment AND clock correction for all bonded transceivers.
CHBONDO passes commands to align channels, to skip one or two clock correction sequences, to insert one clock correction sequence, or to do nothing.
