LogiCORE PCI - GCK pins are used for unnecessary signals

Description

General Description:

In certain instances, UCFs generated for PCI core lock signals onto global clock pads when this is not necessary. Can these signals be moved to regular I/O to free up global clock resources?

Solution

Yes, you may move these pins. The UCF files have not been changed, but new information has been documented in the release notes.

The release notes have been modified to indicate that it is possible for users to relocate these non-clock pins to adjacent IOBs if they are in the way of otherwise critical user clock inputs.
