6.1i Spartan-IIE, MAP - "FATAL_ERROR: MapLib:basmmfrag.c: 1186:1.27 - Number of out pins not equal to 1..."

Keywords: basmmfrag.c, number, out, pins, MAP, IBUF, IBUFG

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
I have LOC'd an IBUF circuit to a GCLKIOB site as follows:

A MAP warning message reports that the IBUF is being upgraded to an IBUFG:

"WARNING:MapLib:95 - IBUF symbol "C_up_clk" (output signal=N_up_clk) is promoted to indicate the use of GCLKIOB site."

However, the following MAP Fatal Error then occurs:

"FATAL_ERROR:MapLib:basmmfrag.c:1186:1.27 - Number of out pins is not equal to 1. Process will terminate. To resolve this error, please consult the Answers Database and other online resources at http://support.xilinx.com. If you need further assistance, please open a WebCase by clicking on the "WebCase" link at http://support.xilinx.com."

This problem will be fixed in the first major release after 6.1i. Meanwhile, you can avoid the error by changing the IBUF to an IBUFG in the source files.
