General Description:
When I install 5.1i Service Pack 2 to a Solaris machine and attempt to launch the iMPACT GUI, the following error is reported:
"iMPACT launched in a write protect directory - please re-launch iMPACT."
Solution
This problem is fixed in the latest 5.1i Service Pack, available at:http://support.xilinx.com/support/techsup/sw_updates
The first service pack containing the fix is 5.1i Service Pack 3.
The issue only affects the installation of 5.1i Service Pack 2 to Solaris platforms (PC platforms are not affected).
iMPACT batch mode commands will work correctly on Solaris platforms. For information on running iMPACT in batch mode, please see the "Command Line and Batch Mode Commands" section of the iMPACT User Guide:
