When I cross-probe from Timing Analyzer to Floorplanner, the process fails to locate a component and a pop-up message reports the following:

"Unable to find sym <instance name>."

Solution

The 5.1i and later versions of Floorplanner no longer support primitives such as AND, OR, XOR, etc. To avoid this problem, infer combinatorial components rather than instantiate them.
