EZ-Tag JTAG Cable - Problems experienced when programming 9500 devices from computers with EPP ports

Keywords: eztag, parallel port, serial number, JTAG

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
There is a known issue with using the EZ-Tag (JTAG) cable
to program 9500 devices on some computers that have an
Enhanced Parrallel Port (EPP) capability.

The problem is with contention on the TDO signal; it appears to
the EZ-Tag software as either a bad program, verify or erase.

There is a new JTAG cable being shipped that fixes this problem.
The newer cables have a serial number starting with 5000.
The order number is HW-JTAG-PC.

Note: Only customers with EPP ports should experience this problem.
