General Description:
If the MODELSIM environment variable is pointed to an INI file that is not named "modelsim.ini", the following error occurs:

"ERROR:cxl[env]:15- invalid MODELSIM env value detected."

Solution

Since ModelSim does allow the MODELSIM environment variable to point to INI files that are not named modelsim.ini, this issue is a bug in COMPXLIB.

This problem has been fixed in the latest 6.2i Service Pack, available at:
http://support.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
The first service pack containing the fix is 6.2i Service Pack 1.
