6.1i EDK - PowerPC misbehaves after programming via a SVF or ACE file

Keywords: PPC, 405, cache, hang, programming, SVF, ACE, PowerPC

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
After loading an .elf file into a PowerPC system using a SVF or ACE file, the system does not work correctly.

This can be caused by the enabling of the write-through cache policy when the data caches are turned off, which can occur when programming an ELF file via SVF or ACE.

The SVF/ACE behavior is fixed in the current version of the software. The first version containing this fix is EDK 6.2i.
