If I add multiple MCS files in one revision spanning more than two PROMs, iMPACT reports the following errors:

"INFO:iMPACT:1835 - Loading CFI file C:\Temp\gm\advanced_prom\8mb_1r\gold_1.cfi"
"ERROR:iMPACT:1836 - Data in PROM file and CFI file are inconsistent."
"ERROR:iMPACT:1840 - Unable to load CFI file."

Solution

This problem has been fixed in the latest 6.2i Service Pack, available at:
http://support.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
The first service pack containing the fix is 6.2i Service Pack 2.
