Virtex-II/-II Pro, XCITE/DCI - I have accidently pulled VRN to GND and VRP pulled to VCCO. Is the device damaged?

Description

General Description:

I have accidently pulled VRN to GND and VRP pulled to VCC. Is the device damaged?

Solution

No, the device is not damaged; however, DCI will not be functional.

This will affect DCI circuitry similarly to termination to an open circuit (infinite impedance) as described in the (Xilinx Answer 14196).

If you correct the problem by pulling VRP down to GND and pulling VRN up to VCCO, your DCI will work and the device will not be damaged.
