6.1i CORE Generator - White spaces are incorrectly allowed when creating new projects on Linux and Win 2000 platforms

Keywords: white, space, Linux, platform, OS, Win2000, tab

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
On Linux, I can create a new COREGen project with white spaces in the project path. On Linux and Windows 2000, I can open projects that have white spaces in their path.

All of the New Project paths and Open Project path checks are not running correctly on these platforms. Although you can successfully create cores in projects that include white spaces in the project path, this is not officially supported in the 6.1i release. Using white spaces in the path can cause problems when trying to generate XST-based cores.
