Description

How do I install SmartModel into the directory of my choice?

Solution

Windows 2000/XP

2. The "sl_admin" GUI and a pop-up window for "Set Library Directory" appear. Select the location for the installation of SmartModel. If the directory does not exist, the program prompts you for permission to create it. Select "OK".

3. The "sl_admin" GUI and a pop-up window for "Install From..." are displayed. Select "Browse" and change the directory to %XILINX%\smartmodel\nt\image, click "OK", and then click "OK" again.

4. A "Select Models to Install" window appears. Click "Add All" to select all models, and then select "Continue".

5. In the "Choose Platform" window, select "Wintel (Microsoft Windows NT 4.0)" for "Platforms". For EDAV Packages, select the simulators that you want to use with SmartModel. For Modelsim, select "Other".

6. Click the "Install" button.
