Description

Keywords: MGT, 8b10b, encode, special, K, character, code, error, status

Applications using the TX 8b/10b encoder will see the TXKERR status port assert on a valid K28.2 (0x5C) symbol. Also, the invalid K character = 0x6C will not generate the expected error. This is only a status generation error and does not affect the correct generation of encoded data.

Solution

This issue is resolved in Virtex-4 FX CES4 silicon.
