This README Answer Record contains the Release Notes for EDK 6.3 Service Pack 1 (SP1), which includes installation instructions and a list of the issues that are fixed by this Service Pack for the 6.3 release.

EDK 6.3i SP1 requires a valid ISE 6.3i SP2 or greater installation.

A successful installation of Xilinx EDK 6.3 SP1 updates your software version number to 6.3.1.

NOTES:
- The destination directory specified during the setup operation must contain an existing Xilinx EDK 6.3 installation. Only existing files will be updated.
- Set the Xilinx EDK 6.3 environment variable before commencing the installation of SP1.

Download installation instructions for PC users:
1. Download EDK_6_3_1_win.exe from:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
2. Run "EDK_6_3_1_win.exe"

Download installation instructions for Solaris users:
1. Download EDK_6_3_1_sol.zip from:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
2. Unzip EDK_6_3_1_sol.zip it into your $XILINX_EDK area

Download installation instructions for Linux users:
1. Download EDK_6_3_1_lin.zip from:

2. CD to the root of the 6.3 EDK installation
3. Run the following command:
/usr/bin/unzip <path to the EDK_6_3_1_lin.zip file>

Issues Fixed by 6.3 EDK SP1
6.2 EDK MicroBlaze Caches - How do I calculate the tag address size for the instruction and data caches? See (Xilinx Answer 19371).

6.3 EDK - XMD issues the following warning: "Unable to Check Memory for PPC 0". See (Xilinx Answer 19872).

6.3 EDK - BSB creates system with sourceless connectors. See (Xilinx Answer 20229).

6.3 EDK BSB - Custom board generation via the BSB does not pull out DDR_WEn pin for some DDR devices. See (Xilinx Answer 20230).
